We will be holding the June Utah County .NET User Group on Wednesday, June 16 at 6:00 in the NuSkin NOC located at 350 E 1175 S Provo. This month we are happy to have Robert May speak to us about Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Continual Improvement. I have included his session abstract and bio below.
Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Continual Improvement
Are you using Scrum for your development process? Okay, are you REALLY using Scrum? Many teams claim to be following Scrum, or some other Agile methodology, but aren’t really following the process. This session will talk about what it takes to really do Scrum right.
Some of the topics that we’ll cover include:
· What’s part of Scrum and what is not.
· Where does Scrum usually fail?
· The roles of Scrum and who should fill them, really.
o Should your boss REALLY be the product owner?
· Where does Continuous Integration fit into Scrum?
o What tools are available, especially those used with .NET-centric teams
o Best Practices around CI deployments
· TDD and Scrum.
· Scrum in non-agile environments: How to cope with Waterfall in Scrum
This will be a very open environment. Questions and dialog will be welcome.
